This Health and Safety Policy outlines our commitment to providing safe learning environments in tutors’ homes, students’ homes, and licensed premises where group sessions are hosted.
Risk Assessment and Management
Risk Assessment:
We conduct risk assessments for all locations where tuition sessions take place, including tutors’ homes, students’ homes, and licensed premises.
Risks related to fire, health, safety, and security are identified and assessed.
Risk Mitigation:
We implement measures to minimise identified risks, such as ensuring that premises are well-ventilated, adequately lit, and free from hazards.
Fire safety equipment and evacuation procedures are in place, and tutors are trained on their use.
Licensed Premises:
When group sessions are held in licensed premises, we ensure that the premises comply with all relevant safety and licensing regulations.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
Tutors and Instructors:
Tutors and instructors are responsible for the safety of students during tuition sessions.
Tutors will maintain a safe and tidy learning environment and report any safety concerns promptly.
Students and Parents/Guardians:
Students and their parents/guardians are responsible for adhering to safety guidelines provided by Natematics Ltd. and tutors.
Emergency Procedures
Fire Safety:
Fire evacuation procedures are clearly communicated to all parties. Fire exits are marked and easily accessible in all locations.
First Aid:
First aid kits are available at all locations, and tutors are trained in basic first aid. Tutors are aware of the nearest medical facilities and emergency contact numbers.
Reporting Incidents:
All accidents, incidents, and safety concerns must be reported to Natematics Ltd. as soon as possible for investigation and resolution.
Compliance with Regulations
Legislation and Licensing:
We ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations in the UK.
Licensed premises are selected and used in accordance with legal requirements.
Training and Awareness
Health and Safety Training:
Tutors and staff receive training on health and safety procedures and are familiar with this policy.
Regular refresher training is provided.
Student and Parent/Guardian Awareness:
We communicate our health and safety expectations to students and their parents/guardians.
Information regarding safety measures is shared as part of the enrollment process.
